As we focus on good quality air to improve indoor ventilation and reducing exposure to Covid, we are very pleased to announce that GC Ink™ has performed incredibly well in tests to establish antiviral activity on textiles.

Independent ISO tests on GC Ink – in dry filter format tested according to ISO 18184:2019 procedures – now show at least 99% virucidal efficacy against SARS-CoV-2, the strain of coronavirus that causes Covid-19.

Additionally, a recent study confirmed that there was no shedding of GC Ink particles in airflow tests, addressing any toxicity concerns.

This means that we have a commercial product that will effectively destroy SARS-CoV-2 in air filtration / ventilation solutions – commercialisation partnerships continue to progress and we expect that we will begin to generate production-scale GC Ink revenues this year.

There is an acute focus currently by government and health institutions globally on the importance of good, clean air for indoor environments to reduce exposure to SARS-CoV-2 with recent reports published by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO).

This follows earlier independent tests by Brown University, USA that show 100% virucidal efficacy against Human Coronavirus OC43 and Influenza A H1N1 virus – in under one minute.
