We have achieved NIJ Level III performance with our GC Shield Plus – stopping 7.62x51mm NATO M80 bullets. As far as we can tell, our GC Shield Plus is the only soft (flexible) armour that has achieved this – and it is half the weight of the comparable hard armour Level III shield.
The timing of this technical achievement couldn’t be better; our participation in the December UK trade mission to Boston has grown into a fully-fledged US market entry, and we are now discussing initial customer trials and potential partnerships with some of the top schools and universities in New England as well as deepening existing relationships. We are also creating a US subsidiary to support this. In short, GC’s growth prospects have expanded significantly.
