Nanotechnology + innovative material engineering = strongest, lightest, most resilient materials

We are developing composites that have similar performance as carbon-fibre composites – but with better strength to weight ratios.

Using a production process similar to that used in carbon fibre components, we cure multiple layers of graphene-infused polymer, aerogels and other materials into a strong, lightweight material. This provides a higher degree of shock/impact resistance than other composites.

Low friction of the graphene top surface reduces drag

DISPERSING ENERGY

Aerogel provides thermal insulation, whilst the graphene disperses energy due to its high electrical conductivity

Aerogel layers will dampen vibrations

THERMAL PERFORMANCE

Our GC composite will have a significantly lower coefficient of thermal expansion – crucially important in aeronautics
